The preconception visit
What is the objective of the preconception visit?
To increase the chances of having a healthy pregnancy.
When is it advisable?
Between 4-6 months before the start of the search for pregnancy.
What will we study?
– The personal history of both partners that may cause sub/infertility.
– Changes in active medications.
– Study of the menstrual cycle and gynaecological pathology.
– Analytical and ultrasound evaluation and request for other tests if necessary.
– Study of daily habits: diet, exercise, basal level of stress, etc.
– Toxic habits to correct.
- Supplementation and individualised guidelines for both members of the couple.
