Why VERNA?
Verna is a proper name of Latin origin meaning spring. Spring symbolises the rebirth of nature, a time of prosperity and energy. Spring enlightens us, gives us hope and illusion. Children, women and families blossom, grow, transform. Verna represents the purpose and raison d’être of our clinic.
During the confinement of 2020, I decided to undertake a new work and life adventure: a paediatric and women’s centre, responding to the needs and concerns that had gradually awakened in me.
Seeing that things could change from one day to the next, the vulnerability of all of us and the need for human beings to feel part of a community, made me take the plunge, take a step forward and go for what I had imagined on so many occasions: to found a paediatric and women’s centre, to provide a real response to today’s families.
